Our Mission

Lit Caves was founded in 2020 by author, Jon D. Carr. Originally, he saw Lit Caves as simply a way to promote his stories and emphasize the value of reading. However, he soon read that many schools, especially in his home state of California, were falling below the average reading and writing scores. Without good test results, a student’s chances of getting into a good college or get a good job would come to a crashing halt. It was here that Jon saw a better purpose for Lit Caves, and adverting low reading and writing scores became Lit Caves’ mission.

The Website hosts a variety of stories designed to help their writing skills, as good readers become good writers. Furthermore, we include reading activities to provide a more personal and engaging lesson in how to make a good story. This will help strengthen students’ love for books, and encourage young writers to keep doing what they do.

All of this is done to reinforce the importance and fun in reading, which will inspire students to do so, improving their scores and bettering their futures. That is the ultimate goal of Lit Caves.
